Yes, I know it is still summer but this time of year I always start thinking of fall. Some of my plants are winding down in the garden and in my flower beds. One thing about me, I love marigolds. The bright oranges and yellows are beautiful. When I am working in the flower beds and pulling dead heads, I always save them and harvest the seeds to use next spring. I can’t remember the last time I bought Marigold seeds! Any other plants, whether in my flower beds or garden beds, that are generous enough to share their seeds, take advantage of that! During and at the end of the season, saving seeds can both save you money and help preserve varieties in the face of a changing climate.
Has anyone used Heritage Seeds? My husband and I have done some research on those but have not tried them. If you have used them, let us know in the comments below!
