One of the easiest things you can do to contribute to environmental changes is to spread the word! Be excited and proud of what you are doing! Encourage your friends, family and co-workers to reduce their carbon pollution by making it a part of conversations with them. You don’t want to come across as preaching, but to casually bring it up in a conversation can get your point across. Mention specific things you are doing, such as using public transportation and cutting down on using your own vehicle. Or working on replacing your plastic food storage pieces and going to all glass.
When sharing what you are doing, it always helps to get your point across by sharing why you are doing this. Using glass containers instead of plastic due to Forever Chemicals, or PFAS, being in plastics. Using glass is more sustainable and is better for us and our environment. Switching to public transportation will cut your carbon footprint, which if you use a vehicle more than likely accounts for a majority of this.
The hope is by sharing it will get your friends and family thinking of their carbon footprints, and looking into how they can reduce it! Simple changes are incredibly effective!
